This was a great race to start 2010.  The race began as the ball dropped in NYC for New Year's.  The race was run through the Xmas lights in Tanglewood, outside of Winston Salem.  The weather was nice and the temperature was a tolerable 40 degrees.  

 

The race was an odd distance, at 3.2 miles.  The first mile was mostly downhill and the last mile had some big hills.  I checked my time at 5k and realized I had just run a PR for that distance.  I ended up finishing 8th overall and winning my age group.  What a great way to start 2010!
