| Run for the River 8K |
| I started this race already intimidated by the other ladies at the starting line, not a good sign. They were young and looked fast. And they were! The winning female time was 29 something. Once I settled my mind into keeping a steady pace, the race went much better. It is a flat 8K that doesn't have too many turns. It runs through downtown Kinston and the surrounding neighborhoods. Not exactly a pretty run but definitely flat. 8K is an odd distance. My Garmin read the distance as 5.02, maybe it was confused too. I was pleased with my time of 32:48, definitely a PR for me. Kudos go out to Devin for flying through the course in 24 flat!! |
